ABOUT THE ARTIST : HEATHER KAT

What do you love about your job?

I’m a huge people person, and the best part of my job is getting to work closely with my clients to bring their artistic vision to life. I love the design process… getting to know people, exploring their ideas, and having meaningful conversations throughout their session. It’s a real privilege to meet so many incredible humans and create artwork that they’ll carry with them for a lifetime.

What should people know about you?

I’m a proud mum to two chaos-monkey boys, and we have a pet bearded dragon called Bruno. Outside of tattooing and mumming, you’ll usually find me drawing, immersed in sci-fi, or listening to everything from classic and alt rock to DnB, hip-hop and dub. I love conversations that wander into philosophy, science, and theology, and whenever I can, I escape into nature … walking through forests or hiking up big hills.

What do you love about your job?

My favourite thing about my job that no two days, clients or tattoos are ever the same. Tattoos live and change with a person for as long as they live and change. I love the people I get to meet, each person that gets tattooed has a story to tell, jokes to crack, or tears to cry – and it’s such an honour that people trust me with that!

What should people know about you?

I am OBSESSED with My Chemical Romance, they are the whole reason I got into drawing and tattooing – I also play guitar because of them! I love live music, if I’m not working, I’m probably at a concert screaming my heart out. I am a huge rawrXD emo kid at heart. I grew up with Dan and Phil, CrankThatFrank, MyDigitalEscape and Smosh, which really shaped me into the weirdo I am today. I’m also obsessed with Buffy The Vampire Slayer, I will talk about that show until I’m blue! And finally, I love animals. I have a beautiful springer spaniel named Tia, she is the light of my life and I love nothing more than long walks together before cuddling up in bed.

ABOUT THE PIERCER : SUNJ

What do you love about your job?

Piercing has been my passion and dream job for me since I was 14 and got my first piercings. Being able to wake up everyday and live my dream of making people look cool and feel more confident in their own bodies will never stop being surreal. I love chatting with all my clients and making sure they have a great experience with me and I love seeing the smile on their face once the work is done. I always put 100% effort and care into every piercing I do and that will never change.

What should people know about you?

I absolutely love doing martial arts, especially training and competing in kickboxing which I’ve been doing since my early twenties. I also play guitar (mainly just metal which is my favourite music to listen to) and I’m absolutely obsessed with horror movies, horror games and anything spooky.

What do you love about your job?

From a young age I’ve always known I wanted to be a tattoo artist, I have loved watching how styles have changed and developed over the years and I enjoy being a part of it.

What should people know about you?

In my free time I juggle looking after horses, walking my dog – Fly, oil painting, playing piano, solo travel, and going to as many gigs as possible.
